05/15/2025: VISION TO LEARN

 Parents/Guardians,

I have exciting news! The Vision To Learn (the Vision Van) will be visiting Paint Valley in the 2025-2026 school year! However, with that being said, we worry that the program may not be able to continue in the future without others helping to tell the story of the need and show their support and trust in the program. Before the end of the school year, would you consider writing a letter of support to our local state Senator, Shane Wilkin, in support of the program? 

Following the success of the Visiont To Learn work and similar programs elsewhere in the state, Governor DeWine has made student vision a key priority in his final budget. Earlier this year he announced the creation of the OhioSee program, which will bring vision exams to students K-3 across Ohio.  This landmark achievement will change the lives of kids across Ohio, and is an important part of ensuring Vision To Learn is able to continue their work with our district and possibly expand to other districts.

Attached in the "LETTERS" section below is a draft letter if helpful, but please feel free to edit and make it your own while including the attached amendment that would allow federal dollars to support the program and ensure long term sustainability.
